ICC Confirms Officials For WCL Division One

World Cricket League Division One 2010The referee and umpire appointments have been finalised for the warm-up and group stage of the ICC World Cricket League Division 1 to be held in Amsterdam from 1 to 10 July.

In all during the tournament, there will be six umpires who will officiate, including representatives from the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires and the ICC Associates and Affiliates Umpires’ Panel.

The tournament match referees will be David Jukes, Adrian Griffith and Devdas Govindjee while the umpiring responsibilities will be shared between Brian Jerling, Kumar Dharmasena, Norman Malcolm (all from the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires), Niels Bagh, Buddhi Pradhan and Ian Ramage (all from the Associates and Affiliates Panel of ICC Umpires).

The Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond (KNCB) has announced Ashraf Din, Huub Jansen, Bart Hartong and Erno Ruchtie who will share the reserve umpires’ duties during the tournament.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has issued its response to the spot-fixing allegations made against three Rajasthan Royals cricketer. In a statement, Chief Executive David Richardson says that the ICC will offer its full support to both the Indian board (BCCI) and the Delhi police as they investigate Shanthakumaran Sreesanth, Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila.

The playing condition has been implemented after the MCC decided to introduce a new law to the same effect from 1st October, advising the ICC to introduce the playing condition.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has lauded the action taken by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to suspend umpire Nadir Shah after he was found guilty of corruption. He has effectively been suspended for 10 years and will not be eligible for any umpiring assignment during this time while a second umpire, Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid Saikat was cleared of any wrongdoing.
