ICC RDO Wendell Coppin Leads USYCA School Event

On October 8, ICC Americas Regional Development Officer Wendell Coppin, assisted by local volunteer Mohomed Azeez, delivered cricket training to the Physical Education teachers of Henrico County, Virginia.

Henrico County is where Richmond, the county seat, is located. Coppin and Azeez conducted six 50-minute sessions, with teachers receiving USYCA American Cricket Champ sets for their schools at the end of each session.

The sessions went so well that many of the teachers are already asking to purchase additional cricket sets for their schools. Azeez is also working with the local YMCA to add cricket to their sports offerings in Henrico County for next year.

Henrico County Schools PE Director Benita Turner said, "Staff Development was GREAT! Many thanks to Wendell and Mohomed for leading the day!!!"

Congratulations to Wendell Coppin and Mohomed Azeez for conducting this great event in Virginia. Well done, gentlemen!
