The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that it has received a report on the Feroz Shah Kotla pitch from the Indian board (BCCI) following the fifth One-Day International between India and Sri Lanka on 27th December.

The match was abandoned after 23.3 overs due to the unfit nature of the pitch and under new ICC procedures, a report was submitted by ICC match referee Alan Hurst and this report, expressing his concerns over the pitch, was forwarded to the BCCI.

The BCCI was then required to submit its own report, which it has now done.

India won the series 3-1 and it is the second time that a pitch in India has been reported in the last two years following the third Test match against South Africa in Kanpur.

Kanpur has since hosted international cricket and Delhi is scheduled to host matches at the 2011 World Cup finals.
