England were being backed at a price of 1/9 in the final over of the ICC World T20 final before West Indies defeated them by four wickets.
Bookmakers Ladbrokes report that West Indies were 11/2 before Ben Stokes started the final over only for Carlos Brathwaite to hit four consecutive sixes to seal victory for his side.
David Williams, cricket betting expert at Ladbrokes said: "Punters couldn't get enough of England. They were still being backed at 1/9 with one over to go.
"Brathwaite is the toast of bookmakers. In-play betting was made for moments like this."
