Ireland 135-9 (Botha 35, Seelaar 3-28) beat
Netherlands 135-7 (ten Doeschate 29) on a Super Over
ICC World Twenty20 warm-up, Lord's

Ireland triumphed over Netherlands at Lord's after their ICC World Twenty20 warm-up match went to a Super Over. After both sides reached 135, Ireland's six for one in the shootout proved beyond the Netherlands, who lost two wickets for just two runs.

In a match where the ball dominated bat, the top score was Andre Botha's 35 as Ireland fought back after losing two early wickets in their run chase but they couldn't quite overhaul the men in orange in regular play, Pieter Seelaar bowling a brilliant final over to finish with three for 28.

Dirk Nannes conceded just 14 runs and picked up a wicket during his four overs to put Ireland on the back foot while his opening partner Edgar Schiferli picked up two for 25.

Netherlands' innings had been built around 29 from Ryan ten Doeschate and 20 from Darron Reekers as off-spinner Kyle McCallan returned three for 32 with pacers Boyd Rankin and Peter Connell claiming a brace each.

After the last ball of the match was swung away to deep midwicket for a single when Ireland required two to win by Regan West, the Super Over failed to provide a single boundary as Nannes bowled tightly to restrict Ireland to six for one.

However, the Netherlands succumbed to the pressure as a disciplined effort from Trent Johnston brought about a couple of run outs and with it the match for Ireland.
