India Beat Pakistan By A Bowl Out

India 141-9 (Uthappa 50, Dhoni 33, M Asif 4-18, S Afridi 2-37)
Pakistan 141-7 (Misbah-ul-Haq 53) in Durban
Match tied - India won the bowl out 3-0

India and Pakistan played out a thrilling tie in their Group D World Twenty20 match before the first bowl-out of the tournament was decided 3-0 in favour of the Indians in Durban.

Asif reduced India to 19 for 3 before Robin Uthappa (50) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (33) counter-attacked. Sohail Tanvir had Uthappa caught behind and India's innings threatened to stall in amongst three rain interruptions.

Irfan Pathan hit two huge sixes off of Afridi as India rallied towards the end of the innings to help them set a target that proved exactly the match for Pakistan.

They had looked down and out before Misbah Ul Haq and Yasir Arafat put together a fighting partnership, and with 12 required from 6 balls, 11 were scored.

That left a bowl out required, and after both sides left the pitch thinking the game was over, order was restored. Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh and Robin Uthappa all hit, Yasir Arafat, Umar Gul and Shahid Afridi all missed to give India the win.
