Scorecard
First Test, Chittagong, day two

Zaheer Khan struck to reduce Bangladesh to 59 for three in reply to India's 243 on day two of the first Test in Chittagong.

Sachin Tendulkar's unbeaten 105 helped India progress from an overnight 213 for eight, adding 30 more runs with Ishant Sharma (1) and Shanthakumaran Sreesanth (1), reaching his 44th Test century having passed 13000 Test runs earlier in the game.

Left-arm spinner Shakib Al Hasan and pacer Shahadat Hossain shared the wickets to fall, Shakib returning five for 62 and Hossain five for 71.

In reply, Bangladesh lost opener Imrul Kayes for 23 when he was trapped in front by Khan, who also had Tamim Iqbal (31) bowled.

Sharma then had Shahriar Nafees caught at slip by VVS Laxman for four to leave Bangladesh with plenty of work still to do.
