Sri Lanka 213 (Sangakarra 68, Randiv 58) v India
Scorecard
Idea Cup One-Day International tri-series, Mirpur

Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first in the fifth ODI at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

However, despite the usual early fireworks from Tillakaratne Dilshan (33 off 17 balls), a disciplined bowling display saw wickets fall at regular intervals as Sri Lanka struggled to find momentum.

Only captain Kumar Sangakarra (68) seemed to be able to cope and he tried to hold the innings together but frustratingly holed out to Yuvraj Singh as he was looking to build a big score. At 143 for seven, his team needed to rally but an extraordinary second powerplay saw India only concede eight runs and take two wickets in the five over spell but a maiden half-century from Suraj Randiv (56) helped Sri Lanka over the 200 run mark.

A much improved fielding and bowling display by India was led by the experienced Zaheer Khan (3-38) with good support from Amit Mishra (3-40) and some excellent outfield catching.

Sri Lanka have already qualified for the Idea Cup Final but may be concerned that their middle order only scored six runs between them and there were only two fifty-run partnerships (for the seventh and eighth wickets) in the innings.

India can join Sri Lanka in Wednesday's Final of the Idea Cup, if they win today.
