India have left middle-order batsman Suresh Raina and experienced off-spinner Harbhajan Singh out of their 15-man squad named to play the West Indies in the first Test from 6th November.

Harbhajan did not feature in the recent One-Day International series win over England and his place in the Test team will go to one of Pragyan Ojha, Ravi Ashwin or Rahul Sharma - the spinners who were named in the squad.

Returning to the squad after missing the England series through injury are Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh to add experience and style to the batting as Raina and Abhinav Mukund miss out.

Ajinkya Rahane has been rewarded for outstanding form against England with a call-up while uncapped quick bowlers Umesh Yadav and Varun Aaron take the places of Praveen Kumar and Shanthakumaran Sreesanth.

Virat Kohli, who also excelled during the 5-0 ODI series win over England, also finds his name in the squad alongside the likes of Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman.

The series will be India's first since they were beaten 4-0 in England which resulted in them losing their number one Test ranking.

India Test squad: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Varun Aaron, Ravichandran Ashwin, Rahul Dravid, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, VVS Laxman, Pragyan Ojha, Ajinkya Rahane, Virender Sehwag, Ishant Sharma, Rahul Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Yuvraj Singh
