The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has retained Shoaib Malik as captain and awarded central contracts to 26 players, including two uncapped players.

"They have been picked on the basis of seniority and performances in the last 12 months," Saleem Altaf, CEO of the PCB said.

"But if the selectors believe some other player is performing and deserves to be on the contracted list he can also be included."

Uncapped batsmen Umar Amin and Aziz Ali were added to the list of contracted players following strong performances in domestic cricket.

Grade A contracts (250,000 rupees/month): Shoaib Malik, Misbah-ul-Haq, Younus Khan, Danish Kaneria, Salman Butt, Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Akhtar, Umar Gul, Shahid Afridi

Grade B contracts (175,000 rupees/month): Yasir Hameed, Mohammad Hafeez, Sohail Tanvir, Faisal Iqbal

Grade C contracts (100,000 rupees/month): Yasir Arafat, Abdul Rehman, Fawad Alam, Rao Iftikhar, Sohail Khan, Nasir Jamshed, Sarfraz Ahmed, Khurrum Manzoor, Saeed Ajmal, Wahab Riaz, Umar Amin, Samiullah Niazi, Azhar Ali
