Indian Premier League semi-final, Mumbai
There will be a new name on the Indian Premier League trophy after 2008 runners-up Chennai Super Kings beat the 2009 champions Deccan Chargers by 38 runs to book their place in the final against the Mumbai Indians.
Batting first, the Super Kings posted 142 for seven and then bowled the Chargers out for 104.
The match got off to a frenetic start as after Chennai chose to bat first, Matthew Hayden (8), twice, and Suresh Raina (2) were dropped before being dismissed cheaply with Australians Andrew Symonds (1-18) and Ryan Harris (3-29) bowling an impressive early spell.
Chennai were struggling at 29 for three before they were able to recover thanks to Subramaniam Badrinath's 37, Mahendra Singh Dhoni's 30 and Anirudha Srikkanth's 28 in just 15 balls at the death.
Defending a low total, Doug Bollinger then returned four for 13 as the Chargers failed to make it six wins in a row having won five to qualify for the semi-finals.
The left-arm quick dismissed Adam Gilchrist (13), Tirumalasetti Suman (4), Bodapati Sumanth (16) and Harris (15) and Chennai's spinners kept up the pressure, Shadeb Jakati taking a brace of wickets and Muttiah Muralitharan, Ravi Ashwin and Raina one apiece.
Albie Morkel was the other bowler to take a wicket as Andrew Symonds top scored with 23 in 22 balls.
