Hard-hitting Bangladesh opening batsman Tamim Iqbal has signed for the Pune Warriors ahead of the Indian Premier League 2012.
He replaces Australian all-rounder James Hopes, who misses out due to injury and he becomes Pune's 11th and final overseas player in their squad.
Tamim starred in the recent Asia Cup, where his four half-centuries in as many innings played a large part in getting Bangladesh through to the final, where they lost by two runs to Pakistan.
He is Pune's second signing of the week after they secured the services of Australia Test and One-Day International captain Michael Clarke.
The IPL gets underway on 4th April and Pune are first in action when they play the Mumbai Indians on 6th April.
