IPL Star Manpreet Gony Earns Place In India Squad

Uncapped fast bowler Manpreet Gony, who impressed during the Indian Premier League, has been called up to replace Shanthakumaran Sreesanth, who will miss the upcoming Kitply series in Bangladesh.

Gony played for runners-up Chennai Super Kings, taking 17 wickets at an economy rate of just over seven.

25-year-old Sreesanth is suffering from a side strain and is rested because he is expected to regain full fitness in time for the Asia Cup which starts on June 24th in Pakistan.

The tri-nation series in Bangladesh also includes India.
