Ireland 241 (Mooney 86, N O'Brien 57) beat
Namibia 215 (Snyman 60) by 26 runs
First one-day game, Belfast
Ireland beat Namibia by 26 runs in the first of two one-day games held in Belfast as Namibia's tour finally got underway following the abandonment of the ICC Intercontinental Cup match.
Ireland had half-centuries from John Mooney (86) and Niall O'Brien (57) to thank as they reached 241 before being bowled out before they dismissed Namibia for 215 in reply.
Mooney hit eight fours and two sixes in his 73-ball knock while O'Brien set things up earlier with 57 in 89 deliveries.
Alex Cusack then returned figures of three for 29 as despite 60 from Gerrie Snyman, Namibia fell short - bowled out in in the penultimate over of their reply.
Boyd Rankin, Trent Johnston and George Dockrell all took two wickets.
The second and final game is on 5th July.
