Ireland Open Twenty20 Campaign With Scotland Win

Ireland picked up their second victory over Scotland in two days to make a winning start to the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifying tournament at home.

Having bowled Scotland out for 117 in 20 overs, Ireland reached their target with a ball to spare and four wickets in hand in a close game.

Alex Cusack starred by taking four for 21 in Scotland's innings with Neil McCallum top scoring with 27 and Ryan Watson making 24.

Andre Botha took three for 18 and Kevin O'Brien two for 29.

Ireland got off to a shaky start with the early dismissal of Gary Wilson (14) and Will Porterfield (seven) but innings of 22 from Niall O'Brien and 38 from Andre Botha kept them pointing in the right direction.

Scotland hit back with wickets but unbeaten innings of 11 and five from Andrew White and Reinhardt Strydom saw them home.
