Ireland Women's struggle continues as Granger powers Zimbabwe to five wicket win

Ireland Women 150 (Granger 4-24) by five wickets

After a four-wicket haul from Tasmeen Granger dismissed Ireland Women for 150, a collective effort from the top order ensured Zimbabwe women chased down the target in 41 overs with five wickets in hand in the 10th game of the Women's Quadrangular Series in Potchefstroom.

Ireland won the toss and elected to bat first. Granger (4-24) was all over the Ireland top order while Esther Mbofana (2-38) chipped away with a two-wicket haul as they were bowled out for 150 with only Lara Maritz (26 not out) top scoring.

During the chase, Louise Little (1-14) manage to snare Loren Tshuma (5) early but contributions from Chipo Mugeri (42), Modester Mupachikwa (37) and Anesu Mushangwe (39 not out) ensured Zimbabwe went past the line in 41 overs with five wickets in hand.

Granger was awarded the player of the match as Zimbabwe continue to be positioned third in the table after securing their second win while Ireland are yet to open their account.
