Jack Russell Back At Gloucestershire For 2008

Gloucestershire County Cricket Club are pleased to announce that Jack Russell will be returning to work for the Club this season. He will return as Team Strategist, a new role designed to support GCCC Captain, Jon Lewis during the season. He will be responsible for off the pitch guidance in all playing matters. The former Gloucestershire and England wicket keeper retired from cricket in 2004, after joining the Club in 1981. He has since occasionally been involved with coaching of the County players. GCCC Captain, Jon Lewis commented: "I have always enjoyed a fantastic working relationship with Jack, and he has been inspirational to me and the team in the past. I know he will throw himself into this role 100% and it can only be a good thing to have him back within the dressing room." Jack Russell commented: "It is an honour to be asked and it is great to be back. I am looking forward to the challenge tremendously." © Gloucestershire CCC
