South Africa off-spinner Johan Botha has been ruled out of the Twenty20 International tri-series in Zimbabwe with a knee injury.

He was due to captain the Proteas in Zimbabwe, where they will also take on Bangladesh, and his place in charge of the team has been handed to Hashim Amla.

No replacement in the squad has been named, however.

The series gets underway on 18th June when Zimbabwe play Bangladesh in Harare.

Bangladesh claimed their first win of the Tri-Nations Twenty20 series in Zimbabwe, beating the hosts by six wickets with 15 balls to spare. Their confident run chase keeps them in with a chance of winning the tournament and ends Zimbabwe's run of two wins from their opening matches.

Zimbabwe Stun South Africa With 29-Run Victory

Zimbabwe beat South Africa by 29 runs to maintain a perfect start to the Tri-Nations Twenty20 series they are hosting in Harare. They followed up an 11-run win over Bangladesh in their opening game with a clinical performance, scoring 176 for four before bowling South Africa out for 147.

Amla Guides South Africa To Opening Win

South Africa's batting proved too strong for Bangladesh as they got their triangular series in Harare off to a winning start with a 39-run win. After winning the toss and electing to bat, South Africa raced to 70 without loss in the seventh over, as Richard Levi blasted 37 from only 21 balls and partnered skipper Hashim Amla.
