Kabir Ali Given Permission To Speak To Other Counties
Worcestershire have revealed that fast bowler Kabir Ali has been granted permission to speak to other counties.
The former England player has one year to run on his existing contract and following a request from the player, he is now allowed to speak to prospective employers until 30th September 2009.
Kabir had been offered a new three-year deal by Worcestershire which he rejected.
The news comes as a further blow to Worcestershire, who will already be without wicket-keeper Steven Davies, off-spinner Gareth Batty (both heading to Surrey) and fast bowler Simon Jones (released) next season.
