Kenya Bounce Back To Beat Canada In Belfast

Kenya beat Canada by five wickets in another low scoring match in the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier in Belfast.

Canada were bowled out for 91 in 19.4 overs before Kenya reached 92 for five in the 18th over.

Canada's innings was badly stymied by three run outs and good bowling from Peter Ongondo (two for 18) and Tony Suji (two for 23) with Sanjay Thuraisingham top scoring with just 15 runs.

Kenya set about their task with Kennedy Otieno leading the way with 40 from 42 balls. Despite Canada hitting back with wickets, Kenya maintained a good run rate and Ragheb Aga and Alex Obanda the unbeaten batsmen at the close.

The result means that Kenya join the Netherlands in the semi-finals while Scotland have also qualified.
