1996 World Cup

Kenya, placed in Group A, registered a win in two matches played at the preliminary stage. As a consequence, they did not make it to the quarter-finals.

1999 World Cup

Kenya were one of the ICC qualifiers for the World Cup in England .However, they crashed out of the tournament with successive losses in all five matches.

2003 World Cup

Kenya was benefitted by the forfeited match against New Zealand due to safety reasons and then went to stun Sri Lanka by 53 runs to reserve a place in the Super Sixes. In the Super Sixes, they made a place into the semi-final for the first time on the basis of the points carried forward from the group stages .However, the dream run soon came to a halt with a massive 91-run loss against India in the semi-final.

2007 World Cup

Kenya failed to produce the magic of the 2003 World Cup as they were edged out of the Super Eights due to the seven-wicket defeat against England .Kenya batted first in a match, which was reduced to 43 overs and made a below par 177 all out to script a disappointing show.

India were deemed to be one over short of their target when time allowances were taken into account during Sri Lanka's innings of 274 for six.
