Key Retained As Kent Captain For 2008
Robert Key has been retained as Kent Captain for the 2008 season, on the back of a successful 2007 season where they won the ECB Twenty20 Cup and maintained their LV County Championship Division One status.
Key took over as captain from David Fulton in 2006 and is predicting big things for 2008.
"I am delighted to be given the chance to Captain the Club again in 2008," he said. "We made good progress in 2007 and I believe we have the players to do even better next season.
“We will be announcing exciting new additions to the squad shortly with a view to building further on the success achieved last year."
Kent take on newly-promoted Nottinghamshire in their opening LV County Championship match on April 16th, while they host Sussex on June 11th as they start their defence of the Twenty20 title.
