Kolkata Knight Riders have appointed former Zimbabwe captain Heath Streak as the bowling coach of the Indian Premier League franchise for the upcoming season.
Streak, who is also the head coach of Zimbabwe previously held a similar role with Gujarat Lions during the 2016 and 2017 seasons and will join the likes of Simon Katich and Jacques Kallis in the coaching panel of Kolkata Knight Riders.
Kolkata Knight Riders have already made drastic changes for the upcoming season after not retaining Gautam Gambhir and have appointed Dinesh Karthik as their new captain.
However, they will have to deal with a number of off-field issues with Chris Lynn and Andre Russell nursing dislocated shoulder and hamstring injuries respectively while Sunil Narine was reported for a suspect bowling action during the ongoing Pakistan Super League where he represented Lahore Qalandars.
Kolkata Knight Riders will kick-start their IPL campaign with a home game against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Eden Gardens on 8th April.
