Lady Taverners Indoor Regional And National Finals Dates
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced this year’s Lady Taverners indoor regional and national finals, with unprecedented participation levels expected at each competition.
The Lady Taverners midlands regional finals will be held on March 18 for the Under 13 age groups, and March 25 for the Under 15 finalists. This year’s competition is expected to be the most competitive on record following numerous county tournaments prior to the midlands regional finals. More teams than ever before will be competing for the regional trophy - nine county finalists in the Under 13s and eight in the Under 15s.
All midlands regional finals will be played the Wolverhampton Sports Arena, Wolverhampton and Rachael Heyhoe-Flint will be on hand to present trophies to the Under 13 finalists.
The Lady Taverners north regional finals will be played on March 24 for the Under 13s and March 31 for the Under 15s, with six county finalists competing in each age group. These regional finals, to be played at the indoor Sheffield United Cricket Club, were also preceded by local county tournaments.
The regional winners from both age groups will go on to compete at the Lady Taverners finals in a round robin tournament to find the overall winners of the nationwide finals. The Under 15 age group finals will be held at the Lord’s Indoor School on Saturday April 21 and the Under 13s will be held at the Edgbaston Indoor Cricket Centre on Sunday April 22.
