Fast bowler Suranga Lakmal is to replace Dilhara Fernando in Sri Lanka's One-Day International squad in India after Fernando fractured a thumb in the opening match against India.

Fernando has been ruled out for four to six weeks after picking up the injury during Sri Lanka's three-run loss to India as he attempted to field the ball off his own bowling.

Meanwhile, spinners Muthumudalige Pushpakumara and Suraj Randiv were flown in as replacements for Muttiah Muralitharan, who has left the squad due to injury.
