Lancashire And Gloucestershire Prepare For Pro40

After the 50-overs per side and 20-overs per side competitions, Lancashire have their sights on the doing the double in the LV County Championship and the NatWest Pro40 League.

The Lightning’s 2008 Pro40 Division One campaign gets underway with an exciting Day/Night match-up against the Gloucestershire Gladiators tomorrow evening at 4.40pm. Last month, Lancashire in conjunction with England & Wales Cricket Board, launched its Schools Out for Summer “Kids for a Quid” promotion giving Under16’s the chance to see domestic cricket for only £1 a day at select matches in July.

Cricket Manager Mike Watkinson has named a 12-man squad for tomorrow night’s match, with Mal Loye and Andrew Flintoff the only changes to the squad that travelled to the Brit Oval to play Middlesex in the Twenty20 Cup Quarter-Final. Flintoff has been named in the England squad for the 2nd npower Test Match at Headingley Carnegie, and time has beaten Mal Loye in his quest to fully recover from Back Spasms experienced in the run up to the Quarter-Final.
