Lancashire Fined £250 For Registration Error
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed that Lancashire have been handed a fine of £250 for fielding an unregistered player last month.
Pakistan international Junaid Khan played in a Friends Life t20 match and an LV= County Championship game before his registration had been approved by the ECB.
He is now fully registered to play for Lancashire and the ECB made it clear that Junaid himself was blameless.
Lancashire have apologised for the error, accepted the fine and has now put measures in place to ensure that a similar rror is not made in the future.
