Lancashire Freeze Ticket Prices For 2009
Thursday 5 February 2009
In response to the current economic climate and the club’s commitment to make cricket accessible to all, Lancashire has decided to freeze its domestic* ticket prices.
Adult & Senior Citizen tickets for Friends Provident Trophy and NatWest Pro40 fixtures are £10 when purchased in advance or £14 on the day of the game. Junior (U16) tickets for these two competitions will remain at £5 when purchased in advance or £7 on the gate.
Twenty20 Cup tickets at Old Trafford are exceptional value for money at only £12 for Adults when purchased in advance (excluding the Yorkshire fixture) and £16 on the day. Tickets for Juniors (U16) are only £6 in advance or £8 on the day.
Due to construction of the new Conference & Events Centre, the domestic capacity for matches at Old Trafford this season will be 12,000, reduced from 16,000. In the coming weeks, the section of the stadium from the right-hand side of the Pavilion around to and including the Board of Control (Old Scoreboard) will be demolished.
With this reduced capacity, LCCC urges all supporters to purchase their tickets in advance to not only avoid disappointment, but to save money!
LCCC Commercial Director Geoff Durbin says: “Cricket at Old Trafford has always been excellent value for money and a great day out for people of all ages. In these testing economic times, we want all sports fans to be able to watch exciting and competitive domestic cricket without loosening the purse strings, this is why we have decided to freeze prices for 2009.”
