Lancashire Gear Up For Six Days Of Cricket

After the jubilation of last nights 6-run victory over the Warwickshire Bears in the Twenty20 Cup Quarter Finals, Lancashire will depart Old Trafford today for a 3 County Road Trip.

First stop will be New Road for the LV County Championship fixture against Worcestershire starting tomorrow, then it’s off to Cheltenham on Tuesday for a NatWest Pro40 match and to round things off, the Team will board the Coach to Northampton for a Floodlit Pro40 fixture.

Cricket Manager Mike Watkinson has this morning named a 13-man squad for the LV County Championship match at Worcestershire starting tomorrow;

Mark Chilton (cpt), Paul Horton, Mal Loye, Brad Hodge, Stuart Law, Steven Croft, Luke Sutton (wkt), Glen Chapple, Dominic Cork, Tom Smith, Oliver Newby, Gary Keedy, Muttiah Muralitharan

Mahmood returns for Lancashire today

Lancashire’s Second XI travel to Hinckley today for a their next 2nd XI Trophy match against Leicestershire, with Sajid Mahmood making a welcome return following his hernia operation in May.

Assistant Coach Gary Yates has been able to name a very experienced team which includes last night’s star with the bat Gareth Cross plus Iain Sutcliffe and Paul Horton.
