Lancashire Name Squad For Nottinghamshire Match

Cricket Manager Mike Watkinson has named a 14-man squad for tonight’s Twenty20 Cup group match against Nottinghamshire Outlaws at Old Trafford (5:30pm start).

Dubbed the “Group of Death” due to the strength of the division; there are still four clubs fighting to secure progression to the quarter-finals (Durham, Lancashire, Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire). The top two teams from each group and the two best third placed teams will qualify for the quarter-finals which will be drawn on Friday evening and played between Monday 7 July and Wednesday 9 July.

After playing as a batsman only in the previous three Twenty20 Cup matches, Andrew Flintoff is expected to bowl during this evening’s match. This will be the first time he has bowled in a fixture since sustaining a side injury during the Durham Championship clash at Old Trafford in May.

Lancashire: Lou Vincent, Mal Loye, Stuart Law (capt), Andrew Flintoff,
Francois Du Plessis, Steven Croft, Gareth Cross (wkt), Kyle Hogg, Glen Chapple, Simon Marshall, Tom Smith, Dominic Cork, Sajid Mahmood, Gary Keedy
