Lancashire Unchanged For Yorkshire Twenty20 Clash

Lancashire Lightning will be aiming for a swift return to form tonight as they take on Yorkshire Carnegie at Headingley for the first of two Twenty20 ‘Roses’ battles in the space of three days.

The Red Rose side arrive in Leeds the day after some big hitting from Durham Dynamos’ all-rounder Albie Morkel denied them the chance of maintaining a 100% record in the competition so far.

In a competition where matches come thick and fast, both sides will be chasing victory. Stuart Law’s team will be looking to put last night’s disappointment behind them and a win tonight over the arch enemy will see the Lightning maintain their top billing in the Northern group. Yorkshire themselves come into this match in good form, after successive victories including a last ball win over Leicestershire at Grace Road – setting up a mouth-watering cross-Pennine fixture.

Cricket Manager Mike Watkinson has named an unchanged 13-man squad for the match.
