Dennis Amiss's long association with Warwickshire began in 1960 when he made his first-class debut for the club and he went on to represent his club and country with distinction, before also working at Edgbaston as chief executive and chairman following his retirement.

Edgbaston Legends - Sir Ian Botham

Sir Ian Botham is one of England's most iconic and well-known cricketers. In a career from 1973 to 1993, he played 102 Tests and 116 One-Day Internationals for his country and was a world-class all-rounder. The sport was blessed in the 1980s with Botham, Kapil Dev, Richard Hadlee and Imran Khan all laying claim to be the world’s best all-round cricketer but many would rate Botham as the number one as his exploits on the field are still talked about today.

Having been given little more than a taste of international cricket in 2007 when he was included for two Twenty20 Internationals against the West Indies, he had to wait until 2009 to get his next piece of the action and he took his opportunity with both hands with a crucial 119 in the final Test against Australia at The Oval.

Edgbaston Legends - Ian Bell

Ian Bell has come to be one of England's most fluent and attractive players although it has been quite a journey to get there. He was always marked down as something special as he scored runs and won honours aplenty as a junior player, representing the Warwickshire Cricket Board as a 17-year-old and then making his Warwickshire debut as a 19-year-old in 2001.

Edgbaston Legends - Sir Don Bradman

The figure 99.94 needs no explanation among cricket followers for it is the Test average of one of the greatest batsmen ever to have played the game - Sir Don Bradman. In an era when runs had to be earned due to uncovered pitches and minimal protective clothing, Bradman scored an incredible 29 centuries in 80 innings, notching up 6,996 runs with a highest score of 334.
