The Leicestershire County Cricket Club board has announced that Paul Haywood has been appointed Chairman of the club.
As a former county player, Paul has been connected with the Club for more than 40 years and has been a board member for the past 28 years.
Haywood said: “I am delighted to have been asked to chair the board and I look forward to bringing harmony to the club.
“Leicestershire cricket is very close to my heart and I look forward to a new era at the club.”
The board has also confirmed that Mike Siddall has been appointed as Chief Executive, a role he has been undertaking in an “acting” capacity for the past four months.
Siddall, a former Regional Director with RBS, has been a board member for the past five years and has resigned his position to take up the role full time.
He said: “I am really pleased to be able to continue in the role of Chief Executive.
“I look forward to the task of stabilising the club after a difficult period and working with the excellent staff to help progress the club both on and off the field.”
