Leicestershire have announced the signing of Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq in time for the Friends Life t20 competition, which they begin when they play Northamptonshire on 3rd June.

Vastly experienced Razzaq, who has played 46 Tests, 262 One-Day Internationals and 26 Twenty20 Internationals, featured prominently as the Hampshire Royals won the 2010 competition at The Rose Bowl.

He has also previously played for Middlesex, Surrey and Worcestershire in county cricket and has a career strike-rate of 143.63 with the bat and has claimed 79 Twenty20 wickets.

His decision to retire at the end of the season bring to an end a 24-year career, 21 of which he has spent with Leicestershire, wnning two County Championships and two Twenty20 Cups.
Chris Broad has thanked Leicestershire CCC for their collection for The Broad Appeal at the Friends Life t20 game against Nottinghamshire Outlaws last Friday. The total money raised was £945.19 and Chris, who was joined on the field by son Stuart and Leicestershire CEO Mike Siddall during the interval, sent a personal message of thanks.
Leicestershire Foxes are delighted to be supporting The Broad Appeal throughout the Friends Life t20 game against Nottinghamshire Outlaws on Friday evening. The Appeal has been set up by Chris Broad, who lost wife Miche to motor neurone disease last year. Chris has joined forces with son Stuart and Gemma to raise money and increase understanding of MND through the establishment of The Broad Appeal.
