Sussex left-arm seamer Chris Liddle has signed a one-year extension to his contract which should keep him at the club until the end of the 2011 season.
Liddle, 26, missed the entire 2009 season after fracturing an ankle, but he enjoyed a successful 2010, helping the side perform strongly in the CB40 competition.
"It's been a disappointing and frustrating two years for me being out injured and now I am determined to repay the faith that Sussex have shown in me," Liddle said.
"I'll be aiming to break into the Championship side as well as the one-day sides next season, and now I am fully fit I can be a real asset to the club."
Professional Cricket Manager Mark Robinson added: “Chris has had a troublesome two years with an ongoing ankle problem, but he is now fit and strong and has come back really well.
“He has performed admirably in the CB40 games at the back end of the season and has deserved his chance to show the Sussex public what he’s really got."
