A new specialist cricket equipment shop has officially opened at Lord’s Cricket Ground.  Positioned immediately adjacent to the world class training facilities available in the MCC Cricket Academy, and staffed by experienced and knowledgeable current players, the new Lord’s Cricket Store is the ideal place for cricketers of all abilities to source their playing equipment.

In addition to boasting an extensive range of the latest and best gear on the market, the location of the Lord’s Cricket Store – directly adjacent to the state-of-the-art eight-lane playing facility – uniquely means that players can try kit samples before they buy.

Speaking about the launch of the new Lord’s Cricket Store, MCC Retail Manager, Duncan Copplestone, said:

"The New Year is always an exciting time for cricketers as they start preparing for the season ahead, and in 2013 the new Lord’s Cricket Store has opened its doors to assist with this gearing-up process.

"The Lord’s Cricket Store offers an extensive range of equipment and kit from all the leading manufacturers, along with some of the smaller brands, and is open to players of all abilities. Customers can also look forward to being welcomed by skilled and qualified staff, and uniquely can test products in the neighbouring MCC Cricket Academy before purchase."

In 2013 MCC has teamed up with The Cricketer magazine to produce the world-renowned "Good Gear Guide".  The test day was hosted in the MCC Cricket Academy at the end of last week, with equipment supplied directly from the shelves of the adjoining Lord’s Cricket Store.  Full results from the testing will be published in the March issue of The Cricketer, and copies of the Good Gear Guide will be available from the Lord’s Cricket Store in February.
