Worcestershire have signed Northamptonshire left-arm pace bowler David Lucas on a three-year contract which will begin at the start of the 2012 season.
Lucas has spent five years at Northamptonshire, during which time he recorded first-class career-best figures of seven for 24 in 2009 when he took 60 wickets in the season.
Lucas, 33, is delighted to have signed a contract and is looking forward to playing at his new home of New Road.
"I am delighted and excited to be joining Worcestershire at the end of the 2011 season," he said.
"Worcestershire is a club with a great history and is developing a squad with a good balance of youth and experience. I am keen to make an impact and contribution across all forms of the game and look forward to working with the coaches and players over the coming years."
Director of Cricket, Steve Rhodes, added: "Dave is the type of quality bowler to complement our attack. He has experience, the ability to swing the new ball as well as good one day bowling skills. He will be an asset to the team and I know he is forward to a new start."
