Marstons Becomes Official Beer Of Yorkshire CCC

Marston’s and Yorkshire CCC have today announced a sponsorship deal which will see Marston’s Pedigree become the ‘Official Beer of Yorkshire Cricket’ for the next 3 years.

Yorkshire joins a host of first-class county cricket clubs to build a relationship with Marston’s Pedigree, England’s premium beer. The Burton brewer, celebrating it’s 175 year anniversary this year, is now the official beer of nine top clubs including the following Test match Grounds: the MCC at Lords, the Brit Oval, Edgbaston and the Hampshire Rosebowl.

Marston’s Marketing Director Peter Jackson said: “Marston’s is delighted to become the official beer of Yorkshire CCC. It’s the quintessential Englishness of both the game and Marston’s beers that make this partnership a perfect match as we invest more with our brands in the North of England. We look forward to supporting Yorkshire during the domestic season and welcoming the England team to Headingley Carnegie when they take on the Aussies in August!”

The deal includes pouring rights at all cricket matches, in ground branding and perimeter boards, and the use of players for promotional activity.

Stewart Regan of Yorkshire County Cricket Club said: “Yorkshire CCC is delighted to welcome Marston's to its family of commercial partners as the Club's official beer. I know that our members and supporters will enjoy drinking Marston's Pedigree whilst watching the team in action and I am equally sure that the players will be happy to include the occasional pint as part of their overall strength and conditioning programme!"

I’m looking forward to a good pint of Pedigree on home turf!”

Marston’s is gearing up for a full summer of cricket support for English cricket including sponsorship of the domestic T20 cup as well as The Ashes Test in July and August, with the 4th Test at Headingley Carnegie Cricket Ground from the 7th-11th August.
