Sri Lankan captain Angelo Mathews has been suspended for two matches and his team-mates fined heavily for a slow-over rate offence.
Mathews' side were ruled to have been three overs behind during their one-wicket defeat to India in the final of the Celkon Mobile Cup in Trinidad.
Mathews pleaded gulty to the offence and his players were all fined 40 percent of their match fees.
He will now miss the first two One-Day Internationals against South Africa on 20th and 23rd July.
The charge was laid by match officials Nigel Llong, Peter Nero, Joel Wilson and Nigel Duguid and the sanction applied by match referee David Boon.
Apart from losing the match, Mathews' earning a suspension and the fines for his team-mates, the game was n unhappy one for Sri Lanka as Lasith Malinga was also struck by a water bottle thrown from the crowd.
Sri Lanka, defending 201, were beaten when Mahendra Singh Dhoni hit 14 runs in three balls in the final over.
