Mazars Sponsorship Backs Yorkshire's Tim Bresnan
England international Tim Bresnan and his agent Blue Crocodile Sports LLP are delighted to announce an official sponsorship agreement with world renowned accountancy firm Mazars LLP.
Mazars will sponsor Tim during the two England v West Indies Test matches and the three One Day Internationals against West Indies taking place this month.
Throughout the forthcoming Test and the One Day International series - which starts at Lord’s on Wednesday and includes fixtures at Riverside, Headingley, Bristol and Edgbaston - Tim will be playing with a Slazenger bat bearing the Mazars logo.
Tim, who was born in Pontefract, has been impressive with both bat and ball for home county Yorkshire during the early part of the season, has been marked by many critics in the game as the long-term successor to Andrew Flintoff as England’s premier all-rounder.
The 24-year-old has represented England at under 19 and Lions level and is now poised for Test debut. Tim is a more than handy batsman and there are not too many in English cricket who can bowl at 85mph and boast three first-class centuries. He made his one-day debut for Yorkshire in 2001, just 102 days after his 16th birthday, making him Yorkshire's youngest debutant in 20 years and was named Yorkshire Young Player Of The Year in 2004 and 2005. Last winter he was part of the England Performance Programme and was an influential member of England’s successful Hong Kong Sixes squad beating Australia in the final.
Commenting on the sponsorship David Smithson, regional managing partner of Mazars LLP, said:
"We are very proud to team up with one of English cricket’s up and coming stars. Tim is a talented cricketer, who has the potential to be a top pro for a long time. We wish him every success in the forthcoming test and one day series and we hope to be part of his rise on the international sporting stage for many years to come.”
Tim Bresnan added:
“I would like to thank my agent Blue Crocodile for working hard to agree this sponsorship with Mazars. I would also like to thank Mazars for their generous support and I look forward to working with them and developing a mutually beneficial partnership.
“I am really looking forward to making my Test debut at the home of cricket, Lord’s, and doing my best to be successful as an international cricketer, with the support of an international accountancy practice .”
