McCullum Hits Double-Century Against Pakistanis

Brendon McCullum hammered 206 in 218 balls as a strong New Zealand XI closed day one of their three-day tour match against the touring Pakistanis on 342 for four.
McCullum combined with fellow opener Tim McIntosh (51) to add 162 for the first wicket after the New Zealanders, led by Daniel Vettori, had won the toss and choen to bat.
McCullum went on to hit 20 fours and five sixes before he was caught by Asad Shafiq off Umar Gul with the score on 321.
BJ Watling (24) and Kane Williamson (16) were the other batsmen to depart as spinners Abdur Rehman and Saeed Ajmal joined pacer Wahab Riaz in taking a wicket apiece.
Unbeaten at stumps were James Franklin, on 17, and Dean Brownlie, on 11.
The first of three Tests between New Zealand and Pakistan gets underway on 7th January in Hamilton.
