Middlesex Squad For The Stanford2020 Super Series

Middlesex off To Antigua
The London county have included two signings to add to their 20/20 Squad
Middlesex announce the following 15-man squad for their trip to Antigua for the Stanford Super Series.

Shaun Udal (c), Neil Carter, Neil Dexter, Steven Finn, Billy Godleman, Tyron Henderson, Ed Joyce, Murali Kartik, Dawid Malan, Eoin Morgan, Tim Murtagh, David Nash, Alan Richardson, Ben Scott, Andrew Strauss.

Middlesex have signed Neil Dexter on a long term contract. Dexter, who spent much of this season on loan to Essex from Kent, is a promising batting all-rounder. Middlesex Chief Executive, Vinny Codrington, commented “We believe he is a major addition to our talented young squad.”

Middlesex have also signed Warwickshire’s Neil Carter on loan until the end of December 2008. “We are very grateful to Warwickshire for all their assistance in this matter,” added Vinny Codrington.

The squad will be flying out to Antigua on Sunday 19th October to prepare for their matches, which will be taking place at the Stanford Cricket Ground on the following dates:

26th October 2008 v England
27th October 2008 v Trinidad & Tobago
30th October 2008 v Stanford Superstars

Middlesex have signed South African all-rounder Ryan McLaren as part of their bid to win the Twenty20 Cup for a second time following their success in 2008. Middlesex's triumph at The Rose Bowl came with McLaren playing for runners-up Kent and the fast bowler returned a hat-trick in the final in 2007 when Kent beat Gloucestershire.
Former Lancashire and Northamptonshire all-rounder Steven Crook has signe a one-year deal to play for Middlesex, the club has confirmed. He has been on trial with the club since the start of the year and is now set to start full-time training with the squad as they gear up for the 2011 season.
