Cricket World look at the state of play across the 26 ECB Premier Leagues at the end of July in our monthly club cricket league round-up.

Walsall continue to lead the way in the Birmingham & District Premier League and have opened up a 30-point lead over their nearest rivals, Himley, who move up a place from last month into second. Berkswell slip down to third, a further six points adrift, with Kidderminster Victoria and Wolverhampton occupying the next two places. Leamington and Wellington continue to be rooted to the bottom of the table and look almost certain to end the season in that position.

Batting – July top three
1. Kadeer Ali (West Bromwich Dartmouth) – 174 runs from two matches
2. Attiq Chishti (Knowle & Dorridge) – 159 runs from two matches
3. Thomas Milnes (Berkswell) – 146 runs from two matches

Bowling – July top three
1. Rob Foster (Shrewsbury) – nine wickets at an average of 5.89
2. Josh Bowker (Walsall) – nine wickets at 6.78
3. Jonathan Wright (Kidderminster Victoria) – nine wickets at 9.89
Best bowling: Rob Foster (six for 20 against Leamington on 21st July)

Player of the month: Kadeer Ali backed up his unbeaten 127 against Brockhampton with 47 against Shrewsbury the following weekend to take this month’s award.

Swarkestone and Sandiacre Town are separated by just four points at the top of the Derbyshire Premier League in what is looking more and more like a two-horse race for the title. Ticknall are still in with a shout in third, but defending champions Ockbrook & Borrowash have slipped down to fifth, some 64 points off the leaders. Spondon ended June just a point away from the relegation zone, but have enjoyed a good month and are now 25 points clear in eighth. Rolls Royce Leisure are still comfortably last, with Quarndon just above them in 11th.

1. Chris Stevenson (Alvaston & Boulton) – 10 wickets at an average of 10.2
2. Shahid Khan (Ticknall) – nine wickets at 17.22
3. Colin Griggs (Alvaston & Boulton) – eight wickets at 14

Player of the month: Former Derbyshire batsman Hassan Adnan has been a model of consistency for Alvaston & Boulton and has scores of 69 not out, 48 and 45 to his name in July.

Defending champions Loughborough Town lead Leicester Ivanhoe by four points at the top of the Leicestershire Premier League. Market Harborough are just 20 points behind Town in what is shaping up to be a three-way battle for the title after all three teams recorded wins last weekend. Thorpe Arnold are the only team yet to win a game in 2012 and are comfortably last with just 71 points. Just above them, are Stoughton & Thurnby and Kegworth Town who are level on 117 points.

3. Mohammed Pardesi (Stoughton & Thurnby) – four wickets at 6.5
Best bowling: Mohammad Pardesi (four for 26 against Kegworth Town on 28th July) 

Player of the month: The league’s fixtures have been severely affected by rain over the past month, meaning that only one man has made a century. Neel Thakrar hit 112 off 104 balls last weekend.
