The injuries to India's fast bowlers continue to rack up as Ranganath Vinay Kumar has become the latest player to be ruled out of the two Twenty20 Internationals against England.
Vinay Kumar, himself a replacement for Lakshmipathy Balaji earlier this month, has in turn been replaced by Abihmanyu Mithun for the matches in Pune and Mumbai.
Kumar will miss the series with a right calf strain while Balaji was ruled out with a stress injury to his right toe.
Mithun has played four Tests and five One-Day Internationals but has yet to feature in a Twenty20 Interanationals although in 28 Twenty20 matches for Karnataka and Royal Challengers Bangalore. he has taken 22 wickets including a career-best of five for 37.
India are 8/15 to win the series with bet365, who make England 6/4 outsiders.
Mithun's introduction to the squad is the third change since its initial announcement after Ambati Rayudu replaced injured batsman Manoj Tiwary.
The first match is in Pune on 20th December and the second game two days later in Mumbai.
