First One-Day International, Kingstown
Anisa Mohammed returned figures of five for five as the West Indies Women bundled Pakistan Women out for 82 on their way to a eight-wicket win in the first One-Day International in Kingstown.
The West Indies lost the wickets of Juliana Nero (7) and Shanel Daley (9) before reaching their meagre target with more than 30 overs to spare.
Off-spinner Mohammmed returned new career-best figures with the wickets of Mariam Hasan (8), Nain Abidi (28), Marina Iqbal (0), Nida Dar (0) and Batool Fatima (0) to record the best figures by a West Indian women in an ODI and the equal of all time in Women's ODIs.
Bismah Maroof (10) and Sana Mir (18) were the only other Pakistan players to reach double figures as they were dismissed in 40.5 overs with Tremayne Smartt, Daley and Shemaine Campbelle also taking a wicket.
Stafanie Taylor's unbeaten 24 and 36 not out from Deandra Dottin then secured the West Indies' winning start to the four-match series in comfort, the pair of them putting on an unbroken 55-run partnership for the third wicket.
The second ODI is on 30th August.
