Australia will hand all-rounder Moises Henriques his Test debut when they take on India in the first match in Chennai, and he will become the 432nd man to represent his country in Test cricket.

He will also become the first to have been born in Portugal after Australia named their team two days ahead of the first match in the four-game series, which begins on Friday (22nd February).

Shane Watson's return to the side was also confirmed, and he is expected to bat at number four behind Ed Cowan, David Warner and Phillip Hughes with Henriques slotting in at number six.

Nathan Lyon is the sole spinner in the side as Australia go with quick bowlers James Pattinson, Peter Siddle and Mitchell Starc.

Glenn Maxwell is named as 12th man.

Struggling Australia Spun Into Trouble Again

Shane Watson became Australia's 44th Test captain after Michael Clarke failed to prove his fitness but he is going to have his work cut out after India took the honours on the opening day of the fourth and final match in Delhi. Watson at least won the toss but watched as a string of batsmen came and went and the tourists, already 3-0 down in the series, closed on 231 for eight.
