After the entire final round of the Warwickshire Under 13 Premier League fixtures were lost to rain, Knowle & Dorridge secured the title to match the club’s Under 15 team the week before.
This group of players have now won the premier Warwickshire competitions at under 11, under 12 and under 13 level which bodes well for the future strength of K&D through to adult level.
In a season interrupted somewhat by bad weather, K&D suffered only one defeat.
While their performances throughout the season were characterised by strong, all-round team efforts, rhere were, of course, some notable individual performances, in particular with the ball - Harrison Chambers and Oli Bevan took 10 and nine wickets respectively, placing them well up the league list of leading wicket-takers.
As well as strong, consistent performances with bat and ball, the season was notable for the incredible standard of fielding, with K&D head and shoulders above any of their opposition in that area.
The squad now has a hard winter of training and development ahead of them ahead of a new challenge as they move up to the Under 15 Premier League next season for their next challenge.
