Mumbai Hosts First Deaf Asia Cup Cricket Tournament

The Asian Cricket Council, in association with the participating boards and the Deaf Cricket International Federation (DCIF) has organized the first ever Deaf Asia Cup Cricket Tournament 2007. The tournament will be played in Mumbai, India from April 8-15. Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal will be participating in the tournament. The final of the tournament will be held at Mumbai Wankhede Stadium on April 15. India also hosted the 2nd World Cup Deaf Cricket Tournament in 2005. The schedule of the inaugural Deaf Asia Cup 2007 is as follows: Schedule: April 8: Pakistan vs Sri Lanka at MIG Club, Bandra, India vs Bangladesh at MCA Kandivali April 9: Pakistan vs Nepal at PJ Hindu Gymkhana, Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka at Bombay Police Gymkhana April 10: India vs Pakistan at Bombay Gymkhana, Nepal vs Sri Lanka at Parsee Gymkhana April 11: Nepal vs Bangladesh at Parsee Gymkhana, India vs Sri Lanka at Bombay Gymkhana April 12: Pakistan vs Bangladesh at Parsee Gymkhana, India vs Nepal at PJ Hindu Gymkhana April 13: 1st Semi-final at CCI (Brabourne Stadium), 2nd Semi-final at Bombay Gymkhana April 15: Final at Wankhede Stadium. © Khondaker Mirazur Rahman Bangladesh Editor
