Muttiah Muralitharan To Launch Cheltenham Cricket Festival

The Montpellier Wine Bar will be joined by Sri Lankan world number one bowler, Muttiah Muralitharan and players from Gloucestershire County Cricket Club to celebrate the launch of the Cheltenham Cricket Festival, with a corporate lunch at the iconic Cheltenham venue on Monday 13th June.

Tickets for the event are priced at £20+VAT, and include a two course lunch and cheese at 12:30pm and the opportunity to meet leading sportsmen from the world of cricket.  

The event will also include an auction for Cruse Bereavement Care, a National charity set up to offer free, confidential help to bereaved people across the UK.

Gloucestershire have announced the signing of Ireland's World Cup hero Kevin O'Brien for the rest of the English domestic season. O'Brien, who has played 58 One-Day Internationals for his country, and enjoyed a spell with Nottinghamshire, starred in the 2011 World Cup when he blasted a 50-ball century to guide Ireland to a three-wicket win over England in a group game in Bangalore.

Gloucestershire have sealed the signing of legendary Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan on a two-year deal to play Twenty20 cricket. Muralitharan, who will retire from international cricket following the 2011 World Cup, has taken a record 800 Test wickets and to date 519 One-Day International wickets.
