Hampshire will wait on the fitness of Johann Myburgh as they prepare to host local rivals Sussex in a key LV= County Championship match at The Rose Bowl from 4th May.

Youngster Benny Howell has been drafted into the matchday squad and a decision on Myburgh's participation will be made on the morning of the match.

Despite losing to Somerset in their last match, the team line-up is likely to be much the same with opening partnership Jimmy Adams and Liam Dawson set to continue at the top of the order.

Fast bowler David Griffiths could return having missed the CB40 match against Surrey on 2nd May.
